Guidance for the work around the work

Finding a brief is only the start. You still need to assess the fit, plan the response and understand the cost of delivery. Learning Spot brings those tasks together in illustrated guides in Learning Spot.

The nine guides cover topics including deciding whether to bid, turning a portfolio into a case study, planning an application, pricing the whole project and learning from a response. Access is checked against the account’s assigned plan: Founder, Agency and Growth include Learning Spot; Freelancer does not.

Meet Dotty

Dotty helps signed-in Founder, Agency and Growth members find relevant opportunities, plan their approach and draft job applications, cover letters, bids and proposals. Try “Find film contracts for a small agency” or “Help me plan an application”. Search stays within the opportunities your plan can already access.

Visitors and Freelancer members can still ask Dotty about the website, compare plans and contact the team.

Make the response your own

Use public facts or fictional placeholders, and work on one question or section at a time. Dotty can suggest a structure and draft wording, but you should personalise it and check every claim against your experience and the current brief before submitting.

AI help is subject to usage limits. Dotty does not read linked documents, accept files, submit applications or provide human specialist review. Separately quoted Growth support can include human bid writing.
