A central place for supplier information
The enhanced Find a Tender service launched on 24 February 2025 as the central digital platform for the Procurement Act. The Cabinet Office’s June 2026 factsheet explains that suppliers can register, maintain commonly used business information and share it with buyers. Find a Tender itself is free to use, including searching public notices.

Registration is not the application
The factsheet makes a useful distinction: suppliers must still complete bids in the form and manner the contracting authority requires. Sharing core information does not replace the buyer’s application process. Suppliers are responsible for keeping that information accurate; registration is not an endorsement or a guarantee of eligibility.

Our view: remove avoidable deadline pressure
For a small agency, account administration is easy to leave until a promising contract appears. Make it part of your preparation instead. Identify who owns the organisation’s account and who can retrieve the information needed for a bid. Keep access secure and make sure you can still reach it when a colleague is away.
For each opportunity, make a short route map: where the notice sits, where the full brief is held, where clarification questions go and where the final response must be submitted. Save the deadline with its stated timezone. Test access to the relevant application portal early enough to resolve problems.
A discovery service can help you decide what deserves attention, but the original notice, current documents and buyer’s instructions remain essential. Tenderspot’s role is to make creative opportunities easier to assess, not to replace the official supplier registration or submit a bid on your behalf.
Before spending hours on a response, confirm that you can access the documents and complete the required submission steps.
